111 watercolors of the series Rome picturesque, Memories of an old Rome. The works were carried out over two decades from 1876 to 1896 before the big urban and architectural changes made soon after 1870 to adapt to the role of Rome to capital of Italy. The watercolors, which occupy the entire first floor of the Museum, have been divided into five thematic areas: Thresholds, Religiosity, Ghetto, Tiber and Crafts.
